Did I ever tell you how bad I love those American soap operas? Yeah I'm kinda TV Series freak. I am a fan of some 1990's and 2000's series such as 'One Tree Hill', 'Popular', 'Ugly Betty', 'Grey's Anatomy', etc. But my favorite series of all time is 'Desperate Housewives'. I love the characters, the plot, the mood, the dialogues, everything in that serial!

So, in my favorites series, I have some characters those I really like, you can even say I'm a little bit obsessed. Maybe because they are smart, or tricky, or sweet, charming, funny, inspiring, or maybe just physically hot, attractive, or maybe I like their style. Usually when I become a fan of one character, I become a fan of the actor too.

And these are those characters:

'Desperate Housewives'
Gabriel Solis (Eva Longoria Parker)

My favorite character of all time, from my favorite serial of all time. Gabriel 'Gaby' Solis is the youngest and the hottest of all four housewives in 'Desperate Housewives'.

Tom Scavo (Doug Savant)

Anyway, I love both Gaby-Carlos and Lynette-Tom couples. They both sweet in different way.

'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel'
Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter)

Cordelia is Buffy's rival at school. Before finding herself as a vampire slayer, Buffy was a popular girl and even also a captain in cheerleaders team. When Buffy was already a vampire slayer, she moved to new school or something (I forgot), so that she's no longer popular. Cordelia Chase is the popular girl at school.

Her character is so much like Gaby Solis in 'Desperate Housewives' or Brooke Davis in 'One Tree Hill': a spoiled brat with super rich parents/husband, that can't do anything when all the money gone.

Angel (David Boreanaz)

This is the lots better, sexier, hotter vampire than that creepy Edward Cullen. Angel is a character of a vampire that is trying so hard to remove his dark past. He is a good vampire, and he's ironically boyfriend of Buffy the vampire slayer.

'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' was a movie that was made as TV series, and then there was the split of the series, 'Angel'. Both characters above were in both of those series.

'Dawson's Creek'
This is like the most popular, most booming TV series on 1990's. The story was just about life of some teenagers in a small town. I can say 'One Tree Hill' is a lot like 'Dawson's Creek' (both took places in North Carolina). I watched 'Dawson's Creek' when I was on my first year in Junior High, and I watched 'One Tree Hill' from the end of my High School years until the beginning of my college years. So, 'Dawson's Creek' maybe like 5 or 6 years older than 'One Tree Hill'.

I used to be a fan of 'Dawson's Creek'. But now I totally forget what was so good about it. But when I was a fan of 'Dawson's Creek', these are my favorite characters.

Joey Potter (Katie Holmes)

This sweet, smart, multi-talented valeditorian is favorite of most 'Dawson's Creek' fans. There were 4 main characters in the earlier seasons: Dawson of course, Joey, Jen, and Pacey. Both of the main male characters fell in love with Joey and ruin their friendship for her.

Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson)

I love Joshua Jackson! Even now that I'm writing this post and watching this picture of him... oh, he's so gorgeous... and I'm so proud that he was born on June 11 just like me.
The character of Pacey Witter is a childish, funny, yet charming boy. Choosing between pacey and the other male character, Dawson, most women would go for Pacey. Including me.

'Popular'
This is a 1990's soap opera about two groups of high school teenagers those compete each other. The popular gang were all blond: Brooke McQueen, Nicole Julian, and Mary Cherry. The nerds were all brunette: Sam McPherson, Lily Esposito, Carmen Ferrera. For those born after 1990, 'Popular' was the 1990's version of 'Glee'. It's all about the popular vs the freaks. The main character were Brooke and Sam. So, mostly 'Popular' fans and followers would pick between Brooke and Sam. Well, from these characters below you could tell which side I choose.

Nicole Julian (Tammy Lynn Michaels)

I really love Nicole Julian character. She's smart, cruel, tricky, and super backstabbing. I also always love her style and hairstyle.

Brooke McQueen (Leslie Bibb)

Maybe I love Brooke McQueen character for the same reason why I love 'Glee' Quinn Fabray character.
The nowadays famous Quinn Fabray character from 'Glee' reminds me so much of Brooke McQueen from 'Popular'. They both blond, pretty, and popular. They both have facial expression as sweet as angels, but very cruel inside. Cruel, but not tricky as their sidekicks (Santana in 'Glee' and Nicole Julian in 'Popular'). Even the 'Glee' Cherios trio is a lot like the 'Popular' blond trio. Brooke and Quinn are the insecure yet fragile queen-bee, Nicole and Santana are the tricky backstabbing b***hes, and Mary Cherry and Brittany are the typical dumb blondes.

'Smalville'
Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk)

I'm not really a big fan of 'Smallville'. I don't really watch it after missing 2 or 3 episodes in its season 1. But I really like Lana Lang's character just because I think Kristin Kreuk is extremely pretty. I sometimes watched the series just to see Kristin Kreuk. The character of Lana Lang is nice, sweet, and super feminine. But I don't really think it's special. So, for this one, it's totally just the face.

No, I don't have favorite characters in 'Friends' or any other comedy series. I'm not a fan of any comedy. And no, I'm not a fan of 'Sex and the City'. I even wonder what is so good about that serial? The women are old and ugly, the theme sucks, and... well I really don't have any idea of why people love it.

This maybe the most common list people usually make. But people seem to always wanna share this kinda list. And there are so many different lists of most beautiful people in the world.

Beauty is relative. Everyone has own taste, own opinion, own description of what beauty is and what makes a woman beautiful. Some people say blonds are pretty, some people like brunettes, Asian, African, skinny, curvy, chubby, long hair, short hair, curly hair, straight hair. In my country, Indonesia, most people think that beautiful means white skin, long-black-straight hair, and Caucasian face. I don’t know why.

For me personally, beauty is not about the hair style, hair color, skin color, race, or anything. For me, beauty is about the shape of each part of face, especially eyes. Beauty is how those beautiful parts of face combine in one composition, making strong character.

I see beauty from the eyes, the smile, the unique, feminine, or strong character of face, and of course, the personality of the person would always be counted.

1. Angelina Jolie Voight (actress, 'Girl: Interupted', 'Tomb Rider', 'Original Sin', 'Mighty Heart', 'Changeling')

Maybe most people would agree with this one. Most people think that Angie is the most beautiful woman in the world. For me, she is.

I think she has the perfect face. She has perfect beautiful eyes, perfect nose, sexy full lips, perfect shape of face. Each part of her face is just so perfect and beautiful. Then, she has very nice, charming, feminine smile. Her expression is always charming. For me, description of beauty is Angelina Jolie's face.

Her personality makes her more beautiful. She's not perfect. But she's smart, great actress that play in great movies, great woman, she's a family person. She love children. She has good heart and care to people. Yeah, Brad Pitt's a lucky bastard.

2. Eva Longoria Parker (actress, famous as Gabrielle Solis in 'Desperate Housewives' series)

She is one of the nicest celebrities. She's so sweet and charming. She's nothing like her role as Gabrielle Solis in 'Desperate Housewives', but I love that character too, anyway.

Eva has a very beautiful, big smile. Her face has a very strong, feminine yet sexy character. Her expression is so cute and adorable. And she also has a funny big laugh. She's kind, friendly, charming, and also funny. Such a personality.

3. Kristin Kreuk (actress, famous as Lana Lang in 'Smallville' series)

Kristin Kreuk has sweet, delicate asian face. She's extremely pretty, sweet, and cute. The only thing I could enjoy from watching 'Smallville' is Kristin Kreuk's pretty face. The beautiful asian eyes, the cute small nose, the sweet lips, the feminine face..., amazing. I think she has the sweetest and most feminine face. Angelina Jolie's face is beautiful, but not as feminine and sweet as Kristin Kreuk.

And you know what, she has Indonesian blood! Yeayyy!! Indonesian and proud!

4. Liv Tyler (actress, 'Lord of The Ring', 'Armageddon')

Her face is not only pretty and extremely feminine, but also has strong character, especially the big lips.

Liv Tyler has unique, beautiful, innocent eyes, those beautiful big lips, and blushing cheeks. Her expression, whether smiling, sad, scared, or even in normal mood, always looks so stunning. Her smile is sweet, cute, and feminine.

5. Kate Beckinsale (actress, 'Pearl Harbor', 'The Underworld', 'Click')

You will be bored to read the words: feminine, extremely pretty, sweet, nice, and charming. I'm kinda bored with those words too. But I still need those words to describe Kate Beckinsale. I really like her face and delicate expression. She looks like a really nice woman. I like her eyes, her nose, her cute, small mouth and sharp chin. She always looks so feminine, even in her masculine role in 'The Underworld'.

6. Melanie Laurent (actress, 'Inglorious Basterds')

She's one of the actresses with most eye-catching beauty. I only saw her once in the movie 'Inglorious Basterds' and I really like her face. Her face is so pretty with strong character. She has beautiful eyes, beautiful nose, beautiful lips, and her acting in that movie was also good, by the way.

7. Alexis Bledel (actress, famous as Rory Gilmore in 'Gilmore Girls' series)

Again and again, sweet, cute, feminine, nice, charming, another extremely pretty woman.
Alexis Bledel has very beautiful eyes. Her face is like a little, innocent girl. I like her role as Rory Gilmore in 'Gilmore Girls'. I like the character. It suits her well.

8. Jessica Alba (actress 'Never Been Kissed', 'Fantastic Four', 'The Eye', 'Awake')

I think Jessica Alba is just amazingly adorable all the time. She's so pretty, of course, that's why she's on this list, right? But the very great thing about her is, she simply can be any type of woman and always looks so gorgeous. Speaking of the pretty women above, I think they have to be always like how they look now. They have their best look in certain style, either classic, feminine, natural, maybe two different style, but never so much different. They usually play only one or two type of similar characters.
But Jessica Alba is very special for me because she can be simply anything and always looks stunning. She can be blond, brunette, asian, or black, curly or straight hair, feminine or masculine, mean or nice, antagonist or protagonist, she can be sexy, sweet, charming, tricky, bitchy, she plays in action movie, drama, comedy, thriller, simply everything!
She was a popular, mean, blond girl in 'Never Been Kissed', then masculine girl with black hair in 'Dark Angel' TV Series, surfer girl (I forgot the title of the movie), sexy superhero ('Fantastic Four'), tricky villain ('Awake'), talented dancer ('Honey'). There are so much different characters with totally different appearances, and she looks stunning in any of them.

9. Halle Berry (former Miss USA, actress 'X-Men', 'Die Another Day', 'Gothika', 'Swordfish')

She is one of the most perfect woman, at least in Hollywood. She's super pretty, feminine, sexy, mature, and smart. She has perfect eyebrows and beautiful eyes. She has beautiful smile. And of course, that perfect body shape.
Although sometimes she played in shitty movies, but actually she's a good actress. She's also nice, charming, and adorable. She always wears perfect outfits. She's one of the best dressed on red carpet. Her make up is always perfect, natural, classy, and sexy. And her hairstyle is phenomenal.

10. Patricia Velasquez (actress, 'The Mummy Returns')

When I saw her for the first time on 'The Mummy Returns' I thought, 'Wow! That actress is really pretty. Who is she?'
She's just the perfect actress to play the role of Imhotep's lover, the exotic Egyptian queen.
Her face is so exotic. Her black eyes are so beautiful, her nose, her lips, her face bones, everything in her face is just put perfectly on their places.
Her facial expression shows charm, calmness, and courage, as a brave, stunning lady. It seems like her eyes could always talking. Perfection!

11. Natalie Portman (actress 'Black Swan', 'No String Attached', 'V for Vendeta', 'Star Wars')

It is so hard to stop starring at Natalie Portman's face. She's too pretty. She has perfect, beautiful, sweet, delicate face detail. Her smile is so sweet and cute like a little kid. While Alexis Bledel looks like a sweet innocent little girl, Natalie is more like a little trouble maker with smirky smile.
